What to Expect
Each week, the Stray Dogs Center UAE team brings approximately:
- ~15 adult dogs — mostly medium to large desert dogs, each with their own unique personality
- ~10 puppies and juniors — playful, curious, and ready to steal your heart
The dogs rotate weekly, so no two events are ever the same. Whether you're looking for a calm companion or an energetic playmate, you'll find a variety of temperaments and sizes.
Some dogs are shy and will need time to warm up. Some are goofy and will make you laugh within seconds. And some will try to climb right into your lap. That's the magic of meeting rescue dogs in person.

FAQs
Not ready to adopt?
That's completely okay! The Stray Dogs Center UAE offers a 2-week trial period — so you can see if a dog is the right fit for your home and lifestyle before making a full commitment.
They also desperately need foster homes. Fostering is a minimum 2-week commitment and helps dogs decompress from shelter life while waiting for their forever families. It's one of the most impactful ways to support rescue efforts.
Can I bring my dog?
No — to keep the environment calm and safe for the rescue dogs, personal pets are not allowed at adoption events. This ensures the rescue dogs can be assessed fairly and interact with potential adopters without added stress.
Are there adoption fees?
Yes. Adoption fees help cover the cost of:
- Vaccinations
- Microchipping
- Neutering/spaying
- Health checks
Fees vary depending on the dog's age and medical history. The SDC team will provide full details during your visit.
